ReplyDeleteLoved the article on Dr. Oz. Also have been following Skeptic North this week after seeing your tweet on PharmacistScott's article - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMy first exposure to Dr. Oz was via his diet book of 2006. I noticed an unusual number of references to sexual intercourse.
ReplyDeleteThe very first episode of his TV show I happened to catch was also preoccupied with sex (the physiology of orgasm, etc).
His diet book didn't provide enought calories for most overweight men, and it gave to guidance regarding prevention of weight regain.
He may be stretched a bit too thin.

Correction to my third paragraph above:
ReplyDelete"... it gave NO guidance regarding prevention of weight regain."

Interesting link re: Dr Oz. I was skeptical of him when he was first on Oprah, as I'm skeptical of just about everything on Oprah. Like so many in media, he seems intent on turning health into a commodity. Scary.
