Wonderful piece on how personal responsibility is a horrible way to consider disease prevention or treatment (when you read this think about things like weight bias and the parental no defense to the food industry).

    The "How Doctors Die" article moved me to (finally) fill out an advance directive to protect myself from invasive, unwanted, wasteful procedures. Thanks for posting.

    Oh, and also the advance directive will help, I hope, to protect nurses and physicians from possible lawsuits.
