I am not a fan of Dr. Oz, but I do want to say that I don't believe we should discredit alternative medicine so readily. I, for one, am glad that Dr. Oz is including a wide variety of medical information on his shows.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand how anyone can follow the Special K diet and not be hungry. I know I personally would be constantly looking for more food, real food, to make me feel satisfied.
ReplyDeleteI can never watch the Dr. Oz show. I tried to once, but I get so infuriated, because I am left with so many unanswered questions. One show I watched was about what hair products not to use and how it wasn't "healthy" for your hair, then scared people by showing them what happens to your hair when you use too much of the product. Well who cares if something is "unhealthy for my hair"? Can you please explain if/how the chemicals are harmful to the rest of my body that I should actually be concerned about? My hair is a bunch of dead cells. If they get damaged, I can just get a haircut. I tried watching the show a few other times and just got frustrated again by Dr. Oz telling the audience things but not explaining anything. Then I wrote the show off as for entertainment purposes only...although what sort of entertainment value you'd get out of that, I don't know.
